Iain Scott

Iain is an experienced Training and Development professional who has over 15 years experience working in various types of organisation.  He has been involved in many types of Management Development ranging from one to one coaching to multi-team facilitation.

All of Iain’s experience has been gained within the corporate environment.  He has previously held several positions within Asda Walmart, latterly heading up the team responsible for all Senior Manager and Executive Development.

During the last few years he has worked within retail, logistics and manufacturing industries delivering a range of leadership, management  and skills development programmmes.

Iain is passionate about helping people to develop themselves within their personal and professional lives.  His approach is to keep things as simple as possible whilst appreciating most changes are not as easy to apply on a consistent basis.  Therefore great effort is made to allow others to find new techniques which can be applied and practiced using their own style.  Iain also ensures individuals and teams balance their focus on maximising their strengths whilst developing their weaker areas.  This is important as experience has proved that where this balance is achieved there is greater buy-in to make a difference and therefore improve personal effectiveness.

I relation to coaching, Iain makes sure individuals look at themselves and their performance so they can identify their own challenges as well as their unique areas of strength.  In his experience coaching is about building rapport and trust with people so they are open and realistic about that they want to change and how they are going to achieve this.

As part of his own continuous professional Development Iain is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; Business NLP Practitioner; and both MBTI and OPQ32 qualified.
